Family banner craft is a creative way to have children assemble colorful felt pieces to make a patchwork banner and display the family photo.

Material need

Ruler

Permanent marker

Sturdy felt banner 18"X36"

10 or more Colorful felt sheets 9"X12"

Shoebox or plastic container

Glue

Instruction:

Step1:

Carefully measure and mark 6-inch squares around sheet into two 6-inch squares around the four outside edges of the banner.

Step2:

Cut each felt sheet into two 6-inch squares and two 3X6-inch rectangles. Put all the felt piece in a shoebox or plastic container.

Step3:

Set the banner in the center of floor. Have you child pass the box of colorful felt sheets, so your child may choose his(her) favorites.

Step4:

Ask your child to fit the pieces into the banner's border around a solid-color center are. glue the felt piece in place, attach family photo to the center area of the banner.

Variations:

Create a banner of paper. Put precut paper squarers, rectangles, and triangles on the floor for children to decorate before assembly.
