Fun Party Games

* Chinese Whispers
No.1 Ranking On List of fun party games
The Chinese Whispers can be added in any kids party. It is very easy to learn, play and initiate. Have children sit in a circle. Ask one child to whisper a short phrase to the person who is next to him or her. Each child whispers the message what he or she heard to the next person, and so on. The last child announces what they heard.
* Pass the Parcel

Use a layer of paper to wrap a bar of chocolate (or some other gift), Now wrap it in another layer and duplicate until you have about 10 layers. Finally wrap it in gift paper (so it looks nice). Have everyone sit in a circle and play a short snippet of music. When the music stops, the person who is holding the parcel removes one layer of wrapping. Repeat until the last layer of wrapping has been removed. The winner keeps the present. VariationAs above but every layer comprises a forfeit (e.g Sing a song, dance, or another funny performance).
* The Chocolate Game

Have children sit in a circle and place a tray in the center with a hat, plastic knife and fork, die and a wrapper bar of chocolate. In turn, have children throw the die. If they throw a SIX, they must put on the Hat before they start to unwrap the chocolate with the plastic knife and fork, and then start to eat it. To accelerate the game, you may add a second die and require a Double SIX.
* Musical Chairs

With one fewer chairs than children, have the children walk around room while a snippet of music is playing. When the music stops, every child tries to sit on a vacant chair. Only one child per chair. The child who doesn't get a chair to sit is out of the game. Then take away one chair and the game continues until there is only one child (The Winner) left.
* Memory Game

Place about 10 to 15 small items on a tray, such as pencil, bean, watch, shoe lace, rubber, toy, etc.Cover them with a cloth. Have children sit in a circle. Place the tray in the center of the circle and remove the cloth for 60 seconds. Every child has to try to remember as many objects as they can. When the time is up, cover the items with cloth again. In turn, each child has to name an object on the tray. The first child to fail to name an object or repeat an object or name something not on the tray is out of the game. Then remove the tray and replace some or all of the objects, and the game re-started with the child following the one who is out. If the game is too easy for the group, add more objects or reduce the time.
* Freeze-Frame

Material Needed:A CD or Cassette player or radio InstructionPut on music that is lively but not too wild. Ask children to move, run, or dance freely in time to the music. Stop the music suddenly. When you do, everyone must freeze in whatever position they are in. Anyone who moves, quivers, shakes etc is out of game. The winner is the last one still playing. VariationPlace party theme shapes on the floor in circles. For instance if your theme is Knights, the shapes could be shields, swords, and castles. Have children walk around circle while playing the music. If the music is loud, the children move fast. If the music is quiet, the children move slow. If the music stops, the children stop on the closest shape.
* Postman's Knock

Gather all the boys in a group and have each take a card with a sequential number, such as one, two, three etc. Have the girls do the same. The boys then shoulder to shoulder to form a line, facing the girls who are in a similar line. First a girl calls out a number and the boy with that number goes across to kiss her. Then a boy calls out a number and the girl with that number goes and kisses him.
* Sammy Says

In this edition of an old familiar game, while everyone stands, the leader says" Sammy says do this!" The voice command is matched with a particular body movement, such as tap knees, rub tummy, brush teeth, etc. The player must duplicate the action. When the leader says "Do this" without "Sammy says," the players must not duplicate the action. If they do copy it and get caught, they must sit down until the next round when they play again.
* Station

Have one child stands in the middle and the rest of children stand a circle, give everyone a different station name. The child in the middle calls out two names. The stations have to change places quickly before the child in the middle can get to one of the empty spaces. Who ever is left without a place is the child in the middle for the next game.
* Pass the Orange

Form a teams of 8 children to stand in a line, one behind the other (arranged boy, girl, boy,...). Give an orange to the first child of each team This should be passed to the child behind.When the orange gets to the last child, they come to the front of the line and start again. The winning team is the first one which gets their starting person to the front again.
* Sleeping Pirate

Have one child play pirate, the other children sit Cross Legged on the floor in a circle. The pirate sits in the middle of the circle, blind-folded. Place a bunch of keys on the floor in front of him. A child is appointed to sneak up and take the keys and then return to his or her place, without the pirate hearing him or her. The Pirate has three goes to guess where he thinks the raider is. If he guesses right, the raider becomes the Pirate.
