#17 Among Smart Infant Games ---- Make the rhythmThis is one of the excellent infant games for your little one to play, it develops many good aspects on your baby, such as an awareness of a rhythmic pattern, the feeling sensation of the vibrations and the awareness of different sounds. Also, this game provides free exploration to your baby. PreparationObtain a large empty tin can, such as a big coffee tin, and replace them with plastic lids that fit snugly on each end. Use a wooden stick or wooden spoon and tap on the plastic lid at the top of the can. Generate the rhythmic 1-2, 1-2 pattern as you tap on the can with the wooden spoon or stick. Play InstructionEncourage your baby to use the wooden stick and copy your tapping pattern, help your baby to hold the stick to tap on the plastic lid of the can. Count out the rhythmic pattern, "1-2" as you tap. Repeat this game several times. If you find your baby loses his interest in playing this game, repeat this at another time. Have your baby's attention to look up and watch the ball as it goes up. Use and stress the word "UP" as you say:" Watch the ball go up." Repeat this game several times, change your voice inflection each time the ball goes up as you say the word "UP", Likewise, as the ball falls, use good voice inflection for the word "DOWN". Give the ball to your baby and encourage him to use both hands and toss the ball up. Call your child by name and praise him for any positive action he makes.
#20 Among Smart Infant Games ----- This is My Feet This game develops further awareness of left and right, further awareness of feet and toes, allows your baby to have free exploration, develops the grasping coordination and skill, enhances the sense of touch PreparationLay your baby on his back and bring his left leg up so that he can grasp his left foot. Play instruction Place his left leg back down and lift the right leg so that the baby can grasp his right foot. Then, both of your knock them down. Use and stress the word "down" as the objects fall. Encourage your baby to stack the four objects without your help. However,if your baby needs your help, help him immediately. Praise your baby for any positive action he makes. Continue to allow your baby to stack the four objects and knock them down. Each time the objects fall, use good voice inflection to stress the word "down". At other times, find other objects to stack and repeat this game. Notice not to use the objects that your baby might able to swallow.
#22 Among Smart Infant Games ---- Paper Noise This game develops your baby's small hand muscles, enhances his listening skill, stimulates his desire to try a task independently, develops his awareness of the concept "inside" PreparationUse any kind of paper that has been cut in square of approximately 30 X 30 centimeters. Play instruction Show one of squares of paper to your baby. Ball it up in your hands and make as much noise with the paper as you possibly can. Use another square of paper and ball it up close to your baby's ear so that the baby can hear the crumpling sound better. Then give your baby a piece of paper and encourage him to ball it up. If your baby does not understand, ball up a square of paper simultaneously with your baby. Repeat this game several times. If your baby loses his interest, try again later. Play Instruction At another time, choose a large toy and show it to your baby, Place the toy inside a box that has been stuffed with crushed paper. Close the box and have your baby open it and find the hidden toy inside. Help your baby if he need help to find the hidden toy.
