So handy

So handy is a game to use traditional finger play to get the children ready to settle in.

Step1

Have children to read the verses below together

Verse 1:

I have then little fingersThey all belong to me.I can make them do thingswould you like to see?

Verse 2:

I can hold them up high.I can put them down low.I can put them behind myself.Or, fold them just so.

Step2:

You can check at a glance to see if everyone is following along it someone needs help focusing. Standing or sitting in the circle, act out these verses together:

Verse1:

I have then little fingers [Wiggle fingers]They all belong to me.[Point to self]I can make them do thingswould you like to see?[Nod head yes]

Verse 2:

I can hold them up high.[Fingers over head]I can put them down low.[Fingers toward floor]I can put them behind myself.[Fingers behind back]Or, fold them just so.[Clasp hands together in front]
